Tucked away into the Blue Ridge Mountains lies a picturesque wedding venue: The Barn at Edgewood. Located a few minutes outside of Stanardsville and only a short drive from the heart of downtown. The Barn at Edgewood is perfect for anyone looking for a place that is rooted in historical beauty.

Speaking of history, this venue has an origin story that I think will make you fall in love with this venue all over again! The owners actually had their own wedding on the farm almost 4o years ago. Originally the purpose of the barn was to be a place to house the owner’s tractors. It quickly became a venue when their daughter got married in 2015. Their son joined the tradition and got married there in 2019! This ultimately led to the Barn at Edgewood becoming what it is now.

The Winslow’s have now been doing weddings for 7 years now, and since then the Barn at Edgewood has become one of the best barn venues in the area to celebrate your love! Scott and Julie, the owners, will let anyone know that they love to watch each and every couple recreate the magic that is the union of two people in their own way!

The Barn at Edgewood offers a dreamy romantic getaway

The Barn at Edgewood offers couples and their guests a private, intimate experience. With only one wedding hosted per weekend, there is never any doubt that you and your partner will be their top priority. This also ensures that your wedding is able to be anything and everything you imagine it to be. No rushing, no pressure, and no surprises! While the Barn itself is idyllic and a beautiful choice for the location of your wedding, the venue offers a few other spots along their farm for you and your future spouse to choose from. One of which is a stunning oak tree located with a 360 panoramic view of the mountains.

The location of this venue will make for some remarkable lifelong memories between you, your wedding party and family, and up to 150 guests. (But let’s not forget that your wedding weekend is about YOU and your fiancé)! The venue allows for an on-site rehearsal dinner (so convenient.)  In addition, you can even upgrade your package to include overnight access to the barn! This truly takes the guessing out of where everyone on your guest list will eat for dinner if your guests are traveling from afar. However, there are plenty of local wineries and historical sites nestled into the area that make for the BEST pre-wedding memories.

Adequate parking is a huge bonus. The Barn at Edgewood team make sure that your guests never have to figure out where to park by including a parking attendant in your package.

There are private Bride and Groom suites, allowing you to get ready in a peaceful atmosphere. Another amazing feature at Barn at Edgewood is a newly renovated cottage! This is the perfect place to get ready, or even rent out for the night of your wedding! Did I mention it doubles as an Air Bnb? As a result, you, can (and should) come back and visit the place you got married for a romantic anniversary vacation!

When I say that the Barn is here to help you, I mean it! One of the ways they help is by offering an extensive list of vendors that they love working with. From wedding coordinators to hair and makeup, musicians, DJs, and even tent rentals!  This is a huge plus for couples! You absolutely can’t go wrong in choosing the Barn at Edgewood!
