Big Spring Farm is a 2,200 sq.ft. unique barn with amazing history, located just minutes from Lexington, VA. This venue is conveniently located close to lodging, shopping and historic Lexington. Big Spring Farm is unique in many ways, but one of the things couples might love about it is it’s ability to host large weddings! The Barn can host 150 guests, however the property can fit 300. The venue also takes a generous amount of weddings a year- typically around 50 to 60!
2. The history of the space makes it that much more unique!
Once a 19th century barn, this venue was transformed into a spectacular place to say “I do” at! And, as I have noted, amazing mountain views are directly behind the barn, and in front is the best waterfront view you could ask for! The farmhouse and barn were meticulously rebuilt in 2010. The owners combined both traditional and modern styling, leaning towards a natural light and custom accents feel. This combined with the original structure of the barn is what makes this venue truly unforgettable.

When you choose Big spring Farm as your venue, you’re also choosing a venue that has been loved, and crafted by an amazing family. The Powers are a sweet family of five. Big Spring Farm is the “fruition of their dreams”. After their own wedding at a small, Shenandoah wedding venue, they then started their own livestock farm. In contrast they then started their journey in the wedding business by photographing weddings all over the world! As a result, you know this venue will have great spots for photos!

This venue has a package that will fit any couple’s needs! Their amenities for the Barn & Grounds package include:
- 6 hour event (between 12:00 and 10:30pm)

They also offer a Big Spring Estate Package for anyone desiring a 3-day event! This package includes all of the previously noted amenities over the course of 3 days.
This package is $21,500 year round. (does not include a $500 damage deposit or sales tax)
5. Add on amenities? Yes please!
In addition to the wonderful amenities that come with every package, Big Spring Farm has great add-ons that I highly recommend! Firstly, is the bridal suite. This is an add-on that every bride needs! This spacious, completely renovated 1840’s space is the perfect place for you and your girls to get ready. This add on is $795 and can be utilized as early as 9am.
Secondly is the hourly rate. Did you know that you can rent Big Spring Farm for a bridal shower or other event? This add on is $695 an hour with a minimum of 3 hours.
Lastly is the golf cart. This add on is $195 and in my opinion, worth every penny! Not only is walking around in a stunning dress a bit difficult at times, but having golf cart transportation will help you utilize every second of that sunset glow for photos!
6. Stunning photo locations
As I have noted, this venue was created by photographers! As a result, you know that you will have stunning locations for your couples photos! Some of the best on the property include shooting up on the hilltop (mountain views are a must here, of course!). In addition, the peninsula makes for another great spot!
