A Moss Vineyards Wedding is perfect for those brides who have always dreamed of a dreamy, mountain wedding. Located just outside of Charlottesville, Virginia, and overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, lies the cutest wedding destination. This venue is idyllic for anyone looking for an intimate wedding and I am here to spill all the deets on what they offer their couples!
Moss Vineyards is the dreamiest spot to have a picture-perfect mountain wedding day! Their capacity for your wedding party and guests ranges from 36- 125. This is a great number for those wanting to have a wedding with just family, or family and their closest friends. The views are to die for and are certain to be a conversation starter. It is still close enough to Charlottesville that a trip downtown isn’t a hike. As a result, Moss Vineyards allows you and your guests to feel secluded in your own little piece of the mountains. Couples will be sure to fall in love with the views. Plus, your guests are sure to be talking about the heavenly atmosphere for years to come!
When you have a Moss Vineyards Wedding, they help to take the guesswork out of your wedding day! There are a few spaces on the property that offer a reputable way to help your day flow as smoothly as possible. First, there is the Pavilion. This is where most ceremonies are held. It provides stellar views and plenty of room for you and your guests.
After your ceremony in the Pavilion, your guests can easily move into the Tasting Room for some drinks. Meanwhile you and your photographer (hey, it’s me!) snap some amazing pictures. This allows for everyone to mingle freely, while still being directed into a designated space so you can get some privacy. In other words, it helps keep everyone out of your hair while you and your new spouse get some time to yourselves! Then, whenever you are ready, your wedding can transition and your guests will be able to freely roam. There is a tent available for dining and even a patio available for dancing!
One of the best things about having a Moss Vineyards Wedding destination has to be that they make it easy to know what you’re getting with their venue! They are super open about what they provide and what they don’t. Whatever they don’t provide, they have suggestions for where to go that are local to their area! They have a base price range of about $2,800, with the ability to include additional things in your package. Some of their add-ons include a bathroom fee, event insurance, and tent rentals.
For an additional fee, Moss Vineyards will staff the Tasting Room with a $10/person wine charge. Your guests will love this add on! Another point they suggest is hiring a shuttle service for your wedding. There is some availability at or near the top of the mountain for you most important guests and vendors. However, party size is at the bigger end of their spacial capacity, a shuttle service will help everything run smoothly. Moss Vineyards conveniently gives a list of some potential places to use and assures us that the drivers already know the roads and their venue well!
The staff at Moss Vineyards even have recommendations on the best time of the year to host your mountain wedding at their venue! They list late spring (May, June) and early fall (September, October) as the ideal months. Although, April, July, August, and November are still great options! If you are looking for a rustic, mountain wedding, chances are you know how the weather can be during each of these months. The elevation of the Blue Ridge Mountains provide for excellent evening temperaments (yes, even in the heat of the summer).
I absolutely adore capturing every little aspect when it comes to venues like this one! A Moss Vineyards Wedding combines simplicity and beauty, making for a truly dreamy wedding experience. Not every bride wants a big, formal wedding with a bunch of guests. Nor does every couple have the ability to afford that! Smaller wedding sizes can make for the most elegant, intimate days. Choosing to have your special day at a place like Moss Vineyards, where the beauty truly speaks for itself, is a fool-proof way to ensure your day is everything you could want it to be! Make sure to contact them ASAP about booking your special day. And while you’re at it, feel free to message me about being there to capture what is sure to be truly the most picturesque day!
