The Seclusion | A Grand Summer Venue
The Seclusion is one of my all time favorite venues. Just a short, 30 minute drive from historic downtown, this venue is secluded yet perfectly placed near lodging and amenities! At first glance, this venue will take your breath away. The large grandeur main doors, side porch, stunning views and landscaping will be sure to make the biggest impression on your wedding day.

This timeless, and elegant wedding venue is perfectly design for couples looking for a mixture of rustic, modern and romantic elements. Starting with the grounds, this 72-acre landscape is truly one-of-a-kind. Your photos here will be stunning because the area contains woodlands, wildflower meadows, and stunning vista views! Secondly the inside is just as impressive. The Grand Hall has distressed plank floors and ceilings. Along with shiplap, and the natural light that adorns the space- it is sure to make your day feel magical.

Brides and grooms will love the spaces designated for them at The Seclusion. The Loft is designed specifically with brides and the bridesmaids in mind! Decked with sliding barn doors, lavish furniture, mirrors and chandeliers, this space is the perfect start to your day! In addition to the chic design, the large windows give this room the light and airy feel you (and your photographer) will love. Of course, there is a full bathroom that connects to the Loft. It has a full shower, and a heated flooring for maximum comfort!
The guys have an equally amazing space! The Quarters is in a separate barn so the groom can’t sneak a peak! It has:
- A large TV
- Leather seating
- Bluetooth Stereo System
- Bathroom with a shower
- Mini-fridge
- Games
Obviously, all the groomsmen will have a blast with the groom in this space!
At The Seclusion, there is no need to worry about lodging!
At The Seclusion, they have made sure to meet every need any couple might have, including lodging! In addition to the many hotels and Airbnbs nearby, The Seclusion now offers lodging on-site!
Lodging on-site is perfect for traveling family (immediate family of the bride or groom only), and of course, the couples who want to stay the night of their wedding! The Whippoorwill Cottage is the newest addition to The Seclusion! This space has:
- 4 luxurious bedrooms
- 3 bathrooms
- 2800 square feet of space
The amenities are never ending!
As I have noted, The Seclusion has a never ending list of amenities! The views and stature of the building are alone to make this venue a favorite! The bridal and grooms suites are another huge addition! If you can believe it- there is even more!
When you book your wedding at The Seclusion, you will receive full access to the venue from 9:00 AM until 11:00 PM. Immediate family, the wedding party and vendors can arrive at 9:00 AM and the rest of your guests can arrive at 3:00 PM. In addition to their flexible hours on your big day, you also rent the venue to have your rehearsal there the day before! You will have access to the venue space (except the suites) from 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM as long as there is no other event being held there.
Having a huge party? The Seclusion is ready for it! Firstly, the space is designed with DJs and bands in mind! Food trucks are welcomed (guests love these!). In addition, if you obtain a Virginia ABC banquet license or if your caterer has an ABC license, you can bring or source your alcohol through them!
