A Quirk Hotel Wedding is the perfect location for couples who are looking for a venue outside of the norm. This all pink venue is not only fun and quirky, but it has an incredible roof top view. This hotel venue really offers a unique experience as soon as you walk through the doors that I know any newly engaged couple will love! Keep reading to learn all about this hotel and why you need to have your wedding here!
One of the best parts about having your wedding at the Quirk Hotel is that you and your spouse will get to enjoy complimentary room upgrades! You’ll also have access to in-room amenities like robes and slippers, turn down service, and a welcome amenity. Additionally, you’ll be able to take advantage of complimentary parking as well- which in a downtown setting is a huge plus!
When it comes to food, the staff at the Quirk Hotel will take care of everything! Their in-house catering means that you don’t have to worry about a thing. Of course, the hotel offers creative and delicious cuisine options. And if you’re looking for something specific, the team is more than happy to accommodate your requests. While the hotel does all of their catering in house, they allow outside vendors when it comes to cakes and cupcakes, outside vendors are allowed.
The Quirk Hotel was built in 1916 as the J.B. Mosby & Co Dry Goods Store, and since has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind hotel experience that many love today. The eight-story Quirk Hotel building’s inspiration is by Italian Renaissance design, and is complete with segmental arches, floor-to-ceiling windows, and groin vault ceilings.
When you walk in, you’ll feel right at home. The contemporary and chic furnishings give a modern and luxe feel, but you’ll also have a sense of the hotel’s past due to the original 100-year-old Virginia wood beams. The repurposed wood beans are actually now bed frames for the 73 guest rooms!
The Quirk Hotel is more than just a place to stay overnight. It’s also now home to Katie Ukrop’s Quirk Gallery, which has been a wonderfully offbeat Richmond arts hub since 2005. In 2015, the Ukrop’s reopened the space as a boutique hotel aimed to make art more accessible, spark curiosity, and embrace the building’s stunning architecture and history.
One might think that there aren’t many good places to take photos at in a hotel. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth! Not only does the lobby has eclectic furniture, stunning arches, and artwork everywhere you look. The venue has one of the best rooftops within the city with the best views! One of my personal favorite spots in the hotel is the quiet, yet modern courtyard with greenery. No matter what your style is, this venue has the perfect place for those timeless portraits you’ve been dreaming of.
If you are looking for a fun, exquisite venue that can host around 75 of your closest friends and family, then a Quirk Hotel wedding is for you! Certainly, make sure you reach out to the hotel asap to set up a tour, learn more, and make sure your date is saved! They take as many weddings as they have free dates, but don’t delay! Dates book quickly, especially in peak seasons.
After you book your date, make sure you reach out to me to ensure that you have the best wedding photography for your big day! I can’t wait to hear from you!
